2020 Meeting

56th Annual Eastern Finance Association Meeting

April 1 – 4, 2020, Boston Sheraton Hotel, Boston, MA USA

The Eastern Finance Association invites you to participate in its 56th Annual Meeting at the Boston Sheraton Hotel in Boston, MA. The conference will begin with a reception the evening of Wednesday, April 1, and will proceed with paper presentations, panels and tutorials from Thursday morning, April 2, through Saturday morning, April 4, 2019.

Paper Submission Procedure (closed)

Papers in all areas of finance are welcome and should be submitted electronically at http://openconf.org/efa2020.  The submission deadline is Friday, September 20, 2019. There is a $50 submission fee.  

Those wishing to organize a special session, panel discussion, or a tutorial should submit a proposal directly to the VP of Program (vp-program@easternfinance.org).

All papers submitted will be double-blind-reviewed by members of the program committee. Authors of papers and special sessions selected for presentation will be notified in December 2019. For each accepted paper or proposal, an author will be required to register within four weeks of the acceptance notification. Additionally, any registered author of an accepted research paper will be obligated to discuss at least one paper at the meeting.

Distinguished Student Papers

A number of outstanding student papers will be selected as Distinguished Student Papers. These papers will be presented by their authors and discussed by experienced experts in specially designated sessions. The authors will also be recognized at the EFA Conference Luncheon.

EFA 2020 Distinguished Scholar

Professor Toni Whited, the Dale L. Dykema Professor of Business Administration at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, will present the keynote address and receive the EFA Distinguished Scholar Award for 2020.
